โฆ Synopsis
A new technique is presented for the extraction of accurate equivalent circuits from 3D structures using a commercial finite-element software package. The technique is based on first electromagnetic principles; it exploits the post-processing capabilities of the software and is suitable for analysing structures of arbitrary geometry and materials. Application of this technique reduces a three-pole monoblock ceramic GSM filter to its equivalent circuit.
