β¦ Synopsis
The construct, ion of an automatic sugar analyzer system with a sensitivity of 10-l" moles is reported elsewhere (1). In this system, sugars are chromatographically separated and spectrophotometrically detected by reaction with a tetrazolium blue color reagent,.
We now report the use of a new calorimetric reagent for automatic sugar chromatography. The agent responsible for the color is a Cu (I) complex of 2,2'-bicinchoninate (2), which gives a maximum absorption at 562 nmo.
