A new phase, of probable composition CavSiz60,oH=, has been prepared hydrothermally from CaO and silicic acid in silica rich mixes at temperatures around 375ยฐC. It is structurally closely related to truscottite, from which it is derived by taking one of the two types of silicate layer without the o

We agree with all Dr. Bensted's comments, with one minor exception : the carbonation that he mentioned probably occurred largely during preparation, as Brunauer and Greenberg's (I) original analysis showed 0.6% C02, and this would probably have been sufficient to have produced the infrared band obs

## Abstract This work explores from a theoretical viewpoint the mechanical properties of the most important hydration product present in cementitious environments, the so called Cโ€Sโ€H (calciumโ€silicateโ€hydrate) gel. The dependence of the bulk (__K__), shear (__G__) and Young's (__E__) modulus for t
