The solution-phase synthesis, single crystal structure, and some physical properties of CN 3 H 6 โข VO(H 2 O)(HPO 4 ) (H 2 PO 4 ) โข H 2 O, a new guanidinium vanadium (IV) hydrogen phosphate hydrate, are reported. This phase is built up from one-dimensional chains of VO 5 (H 2 O) octahedra and (H 2 /H
