. A new cryoscopic method for determining raindrop size without a calibration curve. Agric. Meteorol., 22: 35--43.
A cryoscopic method is described for determining raindrop size starting from the weight of the drops rather than from the ratio (mass-ratio) between the mass of the drops and the mass of the pellets formed by the drops in the flour. The essential novelty of this method, in comparison with the flour-pellet method described by Hudson (1964), consists in eliminating the calibration curve, thereby improving accuracy, speed and standardization of measurements. * C.N.R.
