Recently six compounds were isolated from Isodon japonicus Ham (Lablatae) and their structural elucidations were made by Fujita and his collaborators (l-3).
From the same plont we have isolated a new bitter compound, provlslomlly naned isodonal, of which structural elucidation will be stated here.
