## Abstract The method of moments is a semidiscrete numerical method for solving partial differential equations. The method approximates the solution of a partial differential equation by a finite sum of products of two functions. One function in the product is an unknown function of a single varia

Abstract
In this paper, a novel fast computation technique based on the method of moments (MoM) is introduced. The principle of the proposed technique consists in the simultaneous analysis of different structures using only one MoM matrix. The formulation is absolutely rigorous and leads to important time savings, in comparison with equivalent direct MoM simulations. First results are given for 1D structures and the applicability for EM optimization is discussed. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
