Resonance Raman spectroscopy has been used to study the oxidation of ferrocene in zeolite cavities. The formation of the ferricenium cation in the presence of oxygen is strongly influenced by the co-cations present inside the zeohte cavities.
From a comparison of low temperature laser induced Haman spectra of a crystal of yttrium aluminum garnet and terbium aluminum garnet it has been concluded that ten electronic Raman transitions occur.
