โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

This article reports a modification of twoโ€strip monopole antenna, which was an undergraduate final year project. The modified antenna uses a thicker substrate when compared with the original design while maintaining the monopole radiation characteristics at the WiFi frequency bands of 2.4 and 5 GHz. One of the significant improvements of the antenna is the inclusion of the mobile WiMAX frequency band at 3.5 GHz. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A compact printed monopole antenna for WLAN and WiMAX applications is proposed. By combining symmetrical Gโ€shaped strips and a couplingโ€fed plate, fed by a 50 ฮฉ microstrip transmission line, wide impedance bandwidths covering WLAN/2.4/5.2 and WiMAX/5.75 are achieved. ## Abstract This study proposes a novel design of printed monopole antenna using branch slits for WiMAX applications. Here, dualโ€bandโ€reject function is used to form triple band for WiMAX operation. We first investigated the printed rectangular monopole antenna for wideโ€band operation of 2.5โ€“6 GHz,

## Abstract Design of a CPWโ€fed monopole antenna for multinetwork application is presented. The radiation mechanism of such an antenna has been investigated, based on a momentโ€method numerical analysis and experimental measurement.
