✦ Synopsis

A procedure which allows quantitative determination of the amino acid composition of stained proteins separated by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-gel electrophoresis using ninhydrin is described. The Coomassie-protein-SDS complex extracted from the gel is dialyzed, lyophylized, and subjected to amino acid analysis after hydrolysis with constant boiling HCI. By this method it is possible to quantiate the amino acids Asx,

A rapid and sensitive protein staining method employing a mixed dye technique has been developed. Solutions of Coomassie brilliant blue R-250 (CB, 0.2%) and Bismark brown R (BBR, 0.05%) were mixed in the volume ratio of 1:0.75 for staining (final molar ratio, 4.5:1). In this staining, BBR inhibits t

## Abstract Sample preparation holds an important place in MS‐based proteome analysis. For effective proteolysis and MS analysis, it is essential to eliminate the interferences while extracting the analytes of interest from complex mixtures. To address this, herein we describe a new dried polyacryl

A method for the determination of the composition of a conjugate between two different proteins by amino acid analysis followed by least-squares evaluation of the concentration ratio of the two components is presented. The method is based solely on calculations and avoids the use of labeled residues
