โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A microwave integrated, tunable, lowโ€pass filter is presented. This coplanar filter exhibits a wide tuning range of the cutoff frequency (ยฑ19% around 4.3 GHz) and a โˆ’30 dB stopband that extends up to 30 GHz. Insertion loss is 1.5 dB at low frequencies and return loss is better than 14 dB in the passband. ยฉ 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper presents an innovative design of a hybrid electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure based on nonuniform period and dimensions. A high rejection bandwidth is achieved when the nonuniform period and the dimensions follow the Kaiser distribution. The EBG structures are fabricated
