✦ Synopsis
A miniaturized end-coupled microstrip band-pass filter is realized using stepped-impedance resonators (SIR). An experimental filter is designed at 5.7 GHz with a bandwidth of 300 MHz. The step impedance ratio of the SIR is 0.5. This filter exhibits compact size and spurious response that is not harmonically related to the fundamental passband.
