β¦ Synopsis
The magnesium bromide diethyl etherate (MgBr2.OEh)-methyl sulfide (Me2S) system is useful for the mild and chemo-selective deprotection of pmethoxybenzyl (PMB) ether in the presence of 1,3-diene, t-butyldimethylsilyl (TBDMS) ether, benzoate, benzyl ether and acetonide.
