โœฆ Synopsis

Selective suppression of a given resonance in an NMR image can be obtained with a i ~/ 2 pulse whose excitation spectrum is zero at the appropriate chemical shift. The selective 7r/2 pulse presented here is composed of two nonselective i ~/ 2 pulses of opposite phase. The two pulses are separated by a short interval which determines the excitation spectrum.

## Abstract The ability to generate in vivo maps of lactate may have significant diagnostic utility in staging and treatment planning of a wide variety of cancers. The double selective multiple quantum filter technique (SelMQC) has been shown to be effective for nonlocalized detection of lactate wi
