โฆ Synopsis
Dimethylsulfide-d has been prepared in higher yield than -6 reported previously by an improved method involving the reduction of dimethylsulfoxide-& with triphenylphosphine in a solvent mixture of carbon tetrachloride and 2,Z-dimethoxydiethyl ether at OยฐC. was demonstrated by its gas phase infrared and mass spectra. Its utility as a ligand in coordination chemistry was then shown by the synthesis of two typical gold complexes, G., chloro(dimethylsu1fide-d+)gold(I) and trichloro(dimethy1sulfide-&) gold(II1) .
