A method for concentrating small (10 to 500 microliter) volumes of protein solutions by mixing in a microcentrifuge tube with measured volumes of dry Sephadex G-25 is described. The tube is centrifuged, and the protein solution concentrated up to fivefold passes through a small hole in the base of t

โฆ Synopsis
A method is presented for the recovery of 40-80% of the protein from a I ~gjml solution. The final protein pellet is free of detergent and other ionic compounds and is thus compatible with any denaturing solution. The primary structure of the protein is unaffected by the procedure, making the final pellet an ideal sample for any analytical procedure to determine protein structure.
