In the title coordination polymer, [Sn(C~2~H~5~)(C~6~H~5~)~2~(C~2~H~2~ClO~2~)]~n~, the five-coordinate Sn atom shows an SnC~3~O~2~ trigonal–bipyramidal geometry, with O atoms in the axial positions.
