The dynamic behavior of an actual continuous stirred tank reactor in which a second-order reaction takes place was measured and the model which describes the micromixing phenomena within the reactor was identified. The generalized two-environment model was adopted and its environment function and th

✦ Synopsis
The conceptual frameworks of the two-environment model and the coalescenceredispersion model are unified in a generalized model for describing micromixing in a continuous flow reactor. The system equations of the model are then derived. The Monte Carlo simulation of the model is also given in order to make possible the solution of the derived integro-partial differential equations.

## Abstract Recently, cellulosic materials have been considered as a useful resource for the recovery of valuable chemicals and liquid fuels, etc. Cellulose is a homopolymer of D‐glucose, which is often used as a model compound for biomass. Reactions of D‐glucose in subcritical water as the reactio
