โฆ Synopsis
In a classical endoreversible Carnot refrigeration model, irreversibility in the form of heat resistances between the reversible Camot cycle and its heat reservoirs is taken into account. This paper presents a new steady-state flow model that incorporates several internal irreversibilities, such as heat leak, friction, turbulance, etc. These added irreversibilities are characterized by a constant parameter and a constant coefficient. An optimization analysis of the model has been carried out that allows assessments of the effects of the various irreversibilities on the performance of the cycle. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the practicality of the model. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.

## Abstract Redundancy or standby is a technique that has been widely applied to improving system reliability and availability in system design. In this paper, a general method for modelling standby system is proposed and system performance measures are derived. It is shown that the proposed genera
This paper deals with the construction and performance of a thermoacoustic refrigerator. The manufacturing of the different components of the apparatus will be explained along with the reasons for using specific materials. The setup consists of three major parts: The refrigerator which is contained
A general model for the study and optimization of reversed cycle thermal machines with two heat reservoirs is presented. The model is based on the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, heat transfer equations at finite thermal source and sink capacities, and entropy generation terms in order to c
