We report the behavior of nile red (NR) at the air-water interface and its incorporation in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films mixed with a fatty acid. We also report the first observation of dual fluorescence emission from organized NR aggregates formed in the LB films and in binary solvent mixtures that
