โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
In this paper, a microstrip network of the feeding module used in diverse applications of an antenna for dualโband wireless localโarea network (WLAN) operation is designed, fabricated, and measured. A wideband Wilkinson power divider with the defectedโground structure (DGS) is integrated with a dualโband SPDT switch module in order to provide two individual signal paths for the input of a twoโelement antenna array. Two DGS slots are etched on the ground plane in order to reduce the loss of chip resistors, improve the impedance bandwidth, and enhance the efficiency of the output power. According to the simulated and measured results, the feeding module can be operated at the 2.4โ and 5.2โGHz bands. ยฉ 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
