Abstract

A simplified probe feed input impedance for a rectangular patch antenna based on the Green's function is used to design a dual frequency matched antenna. The predicted results at design frequencies of 1.9 and 2.4 GHz are in close agreement with experimental measurements. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, an efficient application of a genetic algorithm (GA) in an artificial neural network (ANN) to calculate the resonant frequency of a coaxially-fed tunable rectangular microstrip-patch antenna is presented. For a normal feed-forward back-propagation algorithm, with a compromise betwee
