Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in the scanning mode was successfully applied to the study of the polymerization of methacrylic acid (2.25 M) in dimethylformamide, provided that for evaluation of thermograms care was taken to use: (a) the appropriate value of the heat of polymerization, AH,
