✦ Synopsis

The recent paper (1) by Boikova et a] is of interest to us as we have also done similar work and published some results on the Na.0z -CIA solid solution series (2). As our results have been missed by these authors, we shall briefly summarise them in this discussion and also include some data on the free Ca0 displaced by Na20 in theseries xNa20. (3 -x)Ca0.Al20 ) when x > 0 to 1.0.
