M. Relis and J. Soroka conclude in their article (i) that the density of the hydration products varies with the degree of hydration. The density of the hydration products, according to these authors, starts out with a relatively low density, and gradually increase towards a higher value. This variation in density they explain as a result of the difference in density between inner and outer hydration products, and a gradual change in proportion of the two kinds of hydration products, as the hydration proceeds.
