A re-description of Tubifex newaensis (MICHAELSEN), (Oligochaeta, Tubificidae) with a consideration of its taxonomic position in the genus MICHAELSEN (1903) gave an incompletely illustrated account of this species from a few specimens deposited in St. Petersburg Museum and collected in the River New
