A novel 1D polymer [Cu 3 (m 3 -OH) 2 (m 2 -H 2 O) 2 (H 2 O) 2 (Agly) 2 ]$(ClO 4 ) 2 was synthesized through the self-assembly of Cu 2C and acetylglycine (Agly) in aqueous solution and characterized by X-ray structure analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1)/c space group (aZ 5.476
