## Abstract A novel multiband and broadband fractal patch antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is compact and simple to design and fabricate. The impedance bandwidth can reach 18%, which is rarely reported for singleβlayer and singleβpatch antennas. Multiband characteristics are
