Abstract
In this paper, two Lβshaped slots are introduced in order to obtain tripleβband operation with a planar monopole antenna fed by a 50Ξ© coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line. Prototypes of the proposed antenna with sufficient bandwidths in the 0.9β, 1.8β, and 2.15βGHz bands for GSM, DCS/PCS, and IMTβ2000 systems, respectively, have been constructed and tested.
