✦ Synopsis

New tetracyclic 6H-[1]benzopyrano [3,4-e]pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-6-ones (4a-e) have been synthesized through the condensation under acidic conditions of [1]benzopyrano [4,3-c][1,5]-benzodiazepin-7(8H)-one (1) and a series of 3,4-disubsituted 5-amino-1H-pyrazoles 3a-e.
