A rapid and simple procedure is described for synthesizing a wide range of tritium and 14C-Iabelled tertiary amines in millimolar quantities with good yields by melting together alkylhalides and secondary amines.

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Fluoride‐directed methylation of the aryl hydroxyl of hydroxyphenyl glycosides with radioactive methyl iodide allows the incorporation of label under mild conditions that preserve the glycosidic link. The effectiveness of this approach has been demonstrated by the synthesis of two ^14^C‐labelled aryl α‐glycosides.

## Abstract A convenient photosynthetic method for production of ^11^C‐ labelled glucose has been designed using the green alga Scenedesmus obtusiusculus Chod. The organism converts H^11^CO~3~ to glucose in 50‐70% yield. The total time needed for the synthesis and isolation of the glucose is 25‐30
## Abstract Side‐chain and ring ^14^C‐labelled styrene were synthesised from labelled benzene and acetaldehyde via bromobenzene, Grignard‐reagent and 1‐phenylethanol. Uniformly ^14^C‐labelled styrene can be also prepared using this method. By‐products were identified and the purity of products was
## Abstract The specific tritium labelling of beta‐adrenoceptor antagonists of the general structure ArOCH~2~CH(OH)CH~2~NHR is described. The tritium label is introduced in the 2‐position in the aminohydroxypropoxy side‐chain starting from ArOCH, an intermediate in the synthesis of the unlabelled c
