A new and convenient method for synthesizing norstatine derivatives has been developed. The key step is the preparation of propargylic alcohols from N-Fmoc or N-Boc amino aldehydes, followed by transformation to carboxylic acids after protection of the alcohols. The N-Boc-protected derivatives are c
