## Abstract A simple, inexpensive method for the synthesis of deuterated diphenylhydantoin is described. Ten deuterium atoms are introduced to the 5,5‐diphenyl moiety of the diphenylhydantoin molecule.

## Abstract The preparation of pure octahydro‐1,3,5,7‐tetranitro‐1,3,5,7‐tetrazocine (HMX) labelled with nitrogen‐15 and deuterium was accomplished by sequential nitrolysis of appropriately labelled octahydro‐1,5‐diacetyl‐3,7‐endomethylene‐1,3,5,7‐tetrazocine. The latter compounds were obtained fro
Methyl 8-oxooctanoate-4,5-d and methyl 12-oxododecanoate-4,5,8,9-d4 were prepared for use as inzermediates in the synthesis of a series of labelled fatty acid methyl esters. Synthesis of the two compounds began with monoozonization and sodium acetate cleavage of 1,4-cyclooctadiene and 1,5,9-~yclodod
A relatively straightforward large scale (gram quantity) synthesis of oleic acid specifically labelled with deuterium (2H) at the 11 position ([C11-:H2]oleic acid) is described. This synthesis is a modified version of the procedure of Tucker et al. (J. Labelled Compd., 7(1971)137) and involves the c
## Abstract The Pd/C‐catalyzed H~2~–D~2~ exchange reaction using a H~2~–D~2~O combination provided a general, efficient and environmentally friendly route for the preparation of deuterium gas (D~2~). H~2~ sealed in a reaction flask was converted into nearly pure D~2~, which could be used for the Pd
