โฆ Synopsis
We introduce a concept of block diagonal dominance for nonlinear functions, and discuss the relations to strictly diagonally dominant functions and M-functions. Some sufficient conditions for the new kind of functions are given. The global convergence of block asynchronous SOR-methods for finding zeros of block diagonal dominant nonlinear functions is proved.
