โœฆ Synopsis

A computer program is presented which interprets acid-base parameters to within the 95% confidence limits. It defines the primary single or mixed disturbance and estimates the degree of compensation.

As a subroutine, this program can be readily adapted to existing programs which read the raw data and compute the acid-base parameters, thus automating blood-gas analysis from laboratory machine through complete interpretation.
