The aim of this paper is to introduce a new three-dimensional elastoviscoplastic model that combines both the Oldroyd viscoelastic model and the Herschel-Bulkley viscoplastic model with a power-law index n > 0. The present model is derived to satisfy the second law of thermodynamics. Various fluids

✦ Synopsis
The elastic-viscoplastic characteristics of the Perzyna model and the Consistency model are considered. Both theories are compared by assessing the evolution of the viscoplastic multiplier, the evolution of the internal variables and the loading/unloading conditions. An explicit expression is derived for the consistency parameter in the Consistency model. Accordingly, it is shown that the Consistency model and the Perzyna model can be treated in a novel, unified algorithmic fashion. Illustrative numerical examples are given to reveal the differences and the similarities between the models, and to elucidate the features of the proposed implicit numerical scheme. 2002 Éditions scientifiques et médicales Elsevier SAS. The ¯ow of granular solids within rigid walls is modeled using continuum mechanics. The problem is represented as a viscoplastic ¯ow in which the discontinuity function is taken as in previous works by Gray and Stiles, while the ¯ow rule is modeled by the von-Mises criterion. The resulting model is
## Abstract Constitutive equations are derived for the time‐dependent behavior of semicrystalline polymers at isothermal loading with small strains. A semicrystalline polymer at temperatures above the glass‐transition point for its amorphous phase is thought of as a network of macromolecules bridge
## Abstract We present a formulation of the viscoplasticity problems, which covers many models comming from the viscoplasticity theory. We announce existence and (under some additional assumptions) uniqueness of this general problem. This confirms the well‐possedness of our abstract formulation (©
## Abstract A tangent constitutive model was developed in this article to address the nonlinear viscoplastic behavior of compound grade thermoplastic olefin (TPO). The TPO was commonly blends of polypropylene matrix, rubber, and inorganic filler. The constitutive model for TPO was obtained from the
A comparative study of vibrations of elasto-viscoplastic circular plates subjected to shock-wave impulses is presented. Results of a finite element analysis are related to experimental data. Two types of elasto-viscoplastic constitutive equations are used: the Chaboche and Bodner-Partom model. They
