✦ Synopsis

Abstract

This study presents a compact, multi‐band, and single‐feed microstrip antenna for wireless communications applications. The proposed antenna consists of microstrip feedline, two step power coupler, rectangular loop, and meander line. The meander line is shorted in specific positions with the loop. All these components together provide multi‐paths for the current resulting in providing multiple resonances. The meander line is used to lengthen the electrical paths while maintaining a compact size. The simulation and measurements of this design will be presented. Β© 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
