A 31‐year‐old man with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome who developed toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) was successfully treated with intravenous immunoglobulin. He presented with a widespread, blistering skin rash, extensive mucosal ulceration, high‐grade fever and pancytopaenia. Nevirapine, a
