✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A coplanar waveguide (CPW)‐fed broadband folded‐slot antenna is proposed. Broadband operation is achieved by designing an adjacent semicircular slot to a folded‐slot antenna. A prototype antenna was fabricated on RO4003 (ε~r~ = 3.38, substrate thickness = 1.5 mm) and measured for VSWR characteristics. The antenna can operate in the 4–6‐GHz frequency range and has a bandwidth of 42.8% within 2:1 VSWR. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, we describe a variation of a folded slot antenna that is formed by a nonuniform‐width slot. The antenna is fed by a coplanar waveguide on which a pair of small slits are located on both sides for broadband matching. The simulated results and measured data reveal that it e
In this article, a slot antenna is proposed to achieve both harmonic suppression and wide bandwidth. To obtain these results, a Tshaped microstrip-line-fed slot antenna and U-shaped conductor line connected with the ground plane are applied. At the fundamental and harmonic frequencies, return loss a
## Abstract A novel design of a broadband circularly polarized square slot antenna fed by a single coplanar waveguide is proposed and discussed. The circularly polarized radiation is achieved by means of using an outer rectangular ring and an inner rectangular ring at the center of a square slot. T
## Abstract The design of a circular slot antenna for obtaining broadband circularly polarized (CP) radiation using a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed is presented. The operation of the proposed antenna is achieved by protruding metallic mono‐strip from the circular ground plane towards the slot cente
## Abstract This article presents a microstrip‐fed slot‐aperture hybrid antenna for wideband circularly polarized (CP) operations. The antenna consists of a U‐shaped slot, a rectangular aperture, and a probing strip fed by a microstrip line. In general, the U‐shaped slot and the rectangular apertur
