A FJ-2821 -,-ray ash monitor was used to determine coal ash with good precision. The effects of moisture content, particle size, degree of compactness and types of coal on the determination were studied.

โฆ Synopsis
The presence of aggregated structures in pyridine coal extracts are indicated by small angle neutron scattering studies of coal-extract solutions. However, no such aggregated structures exist in coal extracts with a carbon disulfide-N-methyl-2-pyrrolidane mixed solvent, which may indicate that. in a thermodynamic sense. pyridine is not such a good solvent for coal.
