โฆ Synopsis
proposed by Heywood et al., the effect of the air ratio fluctuations on NO, formation was investigated hy numerical simulation. The simulation results using the measured probability density distribution of the air ratio accurately predicted the effect of the fluctuations on NO, formation.

Over two million gallons of low solids coal water slurry to date, obtained from waste coal fines, have been co-fired with pulverized coal in a utility scale boiler in a continuous test. This sustained test burn is an essential step toward the commercialization of the technology.
NiMo sulfide catalysts were supported well with ultrafine hollow particles of a particular carbon black (Ketjen Black: KB). This catalyst exhibited an excellent activity for coal liquefaction and can be recovered from the liquefaction residue for recycling. The high activity is ascribed to the highl
