proposed by Heywood et al., the effect of the air ratio fluctuations on NO, formation was investigated hy numerical simulation. The simulation results using the measured probability density distribution of the air ratio accurately predicted the effect of the fluctuations on NO, formation.
Viscosities of y-Fen03 dispersions in epoxy resin, phenol resin, and polyvinyl butyral solutions are measured a t shear rate D from 19.2 to 384 sec-I. Volume fraction of ?-Fez03 in these dispersions ranges from about 0.002 to 0.03. The concentration dependence of relative viscosity 7/17, is closely
The shear rheology of diluted to concentrated suspensions of weakly cross-linked sodium polyacrylate hydrogels were investigated by concentric cylinder rheometry. The size of the swollen gel particles is dependent on the initial size of the dry particle and on the nature of the added salt. Polyvalen
In this article, we describe the rheology of Na montmorillonite suspensions as a function of pH, at constant ionic strength. The observed behavior is discussed quantitatively in terms of the potential energy of interaction between particles, keeping in mind the anisotropic nature of clay particles.
