✦ Synopsis
The 7Fo+5D0 transition of EuCI:-in cubic environments in the title compounds has been studied by dye laser excitation spectroscopy. Structured vibronic origins due to the Y.,, u3 and the sodium lattice vibrations dominate the vibronic spectrum. Vibrational dispersion of uq and v3 is surprisingly large at about 30 and 70 cm-', respectively. The intensity of the sodium motion is much higher than for other 'Fp5D, transitions. These observations are important in understanding energy migration in the title compounds.
