Core-level binding energy shifts of Cs induced by changes in the surroundings of the Cs atoms are measured for two different Cs core levels, 5p and 4d, and are found to be different for these two levels. The surface core-level shift of Cs is found to differ by 25 meV between the two levels. In the c

The Mg-Kol excited X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) of CsaMoOSs and Cs2WOSs have been measured in the valence region up to 25 eV. Two major signals are observed in the spectra of both compounds which are assigned to levels with predominantly 6 and n character, respectively, of the trithioanions.

The crystallization of alkali-earth phosphates in the melts of Cs 2 O-P 2 O 5 -M II O (M II -Ca, Sr, Ba) pseudoternary systems have been investigated at various Cs/P molar ratios and at fixed value of M II /P equal to 0.15. Type of the phosphate which crystallizes in melts depends on the Cs/P initia
