✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C 17 H 14 O 5 , a flavone, was isolated from the rhizomes of Kaempferia parviflora. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The molecular structure is stabilized by intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO and C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds. C-HÁ Á ÁO intermolecular hydrogen bonds andstacking interactions link the molecules into a network.
