✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, (C~10~H~10~N~2~)[PdCl~4~], the Pd atom in the tetrachloridopalladate anion exhibits a square-planar geometry. The anion is hydrogen bonded to the bipyridinium cation by an N—H...Cl hydrogen bond to form chains. The bipyridinium cation and the tetrachloridopalladate anion exhibit perfect 2/m symmetry with the Pd atom located on a 2/m symmetry site.
