✦ Synopsis

The crystal structure of the title compound, C 14 H 10 F 2 N 2 , is stabilized by C-HÁ Á ÁF intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which generate edge-fused R 2 1 (6)R 3 2 (15)R 2 2 (8)R 3 2 (17) ring motifs. The complete molecule is centrosymmetric and almost planar.

The title compound, C 14 H 11 FN 2 O 2 , crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. Both molecules are roughly planar and adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C N double bond. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO and N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds result in the forma
