✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, C 24 H 17 BrN 2 OS, the benzimidazole ring system is planar. The dihedral angles formed by the bromophenol, phenyl and thienyl rings with the benzimidazole ring system are 78.4 (1), 80.2 (2) and 33.1 (1) , respectively. The molecular structure and packing are stabilized by intra-and intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN and C-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen-bonding interactions and C-HÁ Á Á interactions.
