Abstract
The use of 3D images as information bearing objects is rapidly becoming part of the next generation of web applications. From museums to criminal investigations, the 3D image is proving to be a powerful method of simulation for modeling objects and providing interfaces for deep data repositories. The panelists will describe current advances in 3D imaging technologies and demonstrate new applications. Projects presented include: User Preferences in 3D Image Manipulations, Use of 3D Space to Model Crime Scene Information, Museums and 3D Images.

## Abstract Learning objects are among the latest types of materials to be included in digital libraries. These are small portions of lesson material designed to be used in multiple configurations for multiple instructional applications, ranging from distance learning to interactive simulation. As
In underwater environments it is often difficult to obtain a big/clear picture of a scene. For that reason, a system that can integrate small pieces of images (taken from close range) into a composite 3D surface, is developed here. The device, along with 3D position/orientation estimation equipment,

## Abstract Metallic implants in MRI cause spinβecho (SE) images to be distorted in the slice and frequencyβencoding directions. Chang and Fitzpatrick (IEEE Trans Med Imaging 1992;11:319β329) proposed a distortion correction method (termed the CF method) based on the magnitude images from two SE ac
