Abstract
^31^P MRS examinations of the calf muscles of 12 healthy volunteers were performed to determine T~2~ of the coupled ATP signals by using the 90°–TE/2–2662‐TE/2‐acq selective spin‐echo sequence for elimination of phase and intensity distortions. The T~2~ relaxation times obtained are much longer than those usually assumed: γ‐ATP, 93 ms; α‐ATP, 74 ms; β‐ATP, 75 ms.© 1992 Academic Press,Inc.

## Abstract T~2~ measurements of ^31^P NMR signals of ATP using the Hahn 90°–180° spin‐echo sequence imply difficulties whenever the 180° pulse angle is not completely perfect. The reason for this finding is the crucial influence of the __J__ ‐couplings of the ATP signals which result in intensity
## Abstract Localized ^31^P‐STEAM experiments were performed at 3 T to estimate relaxation times of phosphorus‐containing metabolites in the human calf muscle in vivo. __T__~1~ and __T__~2~ times of PCr, P~i~, and NTPs were measured in the resting calf muscle of healthy subjects by varying TR and T
The rate constant of the -adenosine triphosphate to -adenosine diphosphate conversion was measured using 31 P nuclear magnetic resonance magnetization transfer in resting and contracting in vivo rat skeletal muscle. Theoretically, the rate constant should be the sum of the rate constants of the re
The effect of fructose loading on high-energy phosphates in the jejunum, ileum, and large intestine ofrats was studied using "P NMR. Following fructose loading, an increase in the intensity of the PME resonance was observed in the jejunum, indicating an accumulation of fructose-I-phosphate. There we
